Beautiful Wine Comes from Beautiful Grapes Our Estate Vineyards

Planted for Excellence Our World-Renowned Vineyards

Our seven individual vineyard estates, planted exclusively with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, are dry farmed and LIVE certified.

Each vineyard represents a diverse array of microclimates, elevations, slope exposures, and soil types, with clonal and root-stock combination selections selected for individual blocks within each vineyard.

During harvest, our vineyards deliver extremely low yields, with each distinct block of vines handpicked to maintain immaculate fruit condition.

    • Soil Types: Sedimentary Willakenzie Soil & Volcanic Jory Soil

Unique to the area, this site occupies a boundary geologic zone, transitioning from the sedimentary soils often found in the Willamette Valley to the Volcanic Soil of Dundee Hills. The vineyard exclusively contains pinot noir grapes, with four different Dijon clones, Pommard clones, and Wädensville clones.

    • Soil Types: Woodburn Sedimentary

Our lowest elevation site, and only vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills, is planted on a protected, south-facing slope, 16 miles south of Dundee Hills. The vines are rooted in Woodburn sedimentary soils deposited into the valley during the Missoula Floods some 13,000 to 15,000 years ago and produce rich, spicy wines.

    • Soil Types: Volcanic Jory Soil

King Creek gets its name from the creek that runs through the back of the property, and it is Domaine Serene’s only site with volcanic jory soils in the Eola-Amity Hills. Once a Christmas tree farm, this vineyard has the first Chardonnay Domaine Serene has planted outside of the Dundee Hills.

    • Elevation: 220-320 ft
    • Total Acreage: 40
    • Planted Acreage: 28
    • Soil Types: Sedimentary Willakenzie

Our lone vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA has Willakenzie soils and well-exposed, south facing slopes. The wide array of clones sprinkled throughout the acreage creates deeply concentrated wines that showcase the mineral undertones of the sedimentary soil. Due to the angle of the slopes, this is one of our main warmer, early-ripening sites.
