2007 Harvest Update - 09/27/07
Forklifts fly as the fruit continues to arrive. This week we saw our first Pinot noir grapes from Two Barns Vineyard and Guadalupe vineyard.
It all starts here. Bin after bin is carefully loaded for sorting. All of our grapes are processed immediately - there is no sitting around - and the line runs until the grapes stop coming.
A gentle vibration loosens the delicious grapes from any unwanted debris. Attention to detail now will translate to perfection in the bottle.
A gentle shake and a quick trip through the "bug sucker" and voila! Beautiful ripe grapes are ready for caring hands.
Every vineyard, every row, every cluster is processed and sorted by hand. Only the best grapes will find their way into our wines.
Associate winemaker, Drew Voit, works the sorting line, making sure that everything is perfect.
