This particular vineyard is a small domaine in Beaune, and it's the first time Domaine Serene has ever partnered with a vineyard in Beaune. The grapes we get from this vineyard are 100% organic and biodynamic, which is central to the region's identity. These grapes are consistently the highest quality and come from some of the best growers in that area.

The 2019 Maison Evenstad Beaune Premier Cru Les Épenotes Pinot Noir is a complex, layered wine. It's dense, but with an ethereal quality to it. The nose has a cereal grain character with blueberry, and strawberry notes. The palate consists of coffee beans, and darker fruit but with lighter berry flowers possessing layers of characteristics. The 2019 vintage was built for aging with chalky, forward tannins. Perfect served alongside short ribs or Coq au Vin.

“The nose on this Premier Cru Beaune red Burgundy is outstanding, with expressive aromas of raspberry preserves, cherry cordial, crushed stone, kirsch, and orange blossom, in this wonderful, focused wine. The wonderful red and blue fruit flavors are offset with layers of earthiness, violet flower, and wonderful minerality. Chalky tannins are still present, alongside the mouthwatering acidity.”
