2015 Meursault 'Les Tillet' 750ml
There may be no other region in the Côte de Beaune as synonymous with world-class Chardonnay as Meursault. White wines from the region are known to express more full-bodied richness when compared to those of their neighboring regions. Meursault is generally regarded as highly as its southern neighbor, Puligny-Montrachet, probably due to the commune’s reliably high-quality Premier Cru and commune-level wines. “Tillet” was a species of lime tree found surrounding the local vineyards in medieval times. The Les Tillets vineyard is above the Meursault village, at high elevations around 1,150 feet with south by south-east exposure. Soil
composition is clay and brown limestone over a hard shallow limestone subsoil.
Stunning and charming on the nose, it is showing light aromatic hints of sweet and grilled almonds alongside orange peel notes. Soft minerality is present on the palate along with well-integrated fruit and minerality leading to a long and persistent finish. A beautiful wine at release, it will age gracefully in your cellar for many years.
