2015 Château de la Crée Santenay 'Charmes' 750ml
Santenay is located right south to Chassagne-Montrachet and is the most southern village of Burgundy famous “Côte d’Or” (“Golden Coast”) region. The etymology of Santenay is most probably connected to the word “Sanctus” which refers to a sacred place before Christian era. The appellation, 140 ha of planted vines, is composed of three areas, one next to Chassagne, one around the village and one just south of the village.
Awarded as a Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin designate & Current Staff Favorite
Fresh and intense flavors of green apple and citrus are the hallmarks of this elegant, handsomely opulent white Burgundy. On the palate, the wine’s beautiful fruit profile is complemented by a subtle mineral acidity that carries seamlessly through to a slight hazelnut finish of remarkable length. It’s a gorgeous wine built for pleasure!
