A Premier Cru wine from Maison Evenstad, Les Brouillards Pinot Noir is the result of this vineyard's delicate layer of clay over limestone soils. Representative of the classic Volnay elegance and complexity, this wine has generous and silky tannins.
The nose is oolong tea-like with a dry sensation that turns soft then returns to dryness again; the middle palate is framed by this sensation as well. With notes of dried rose petals, juniper, chalky soil, raspberry, poinsettia, red flowers and leafy undertones. Hibiscus and dried fruits are present on the middle palate as well building up to a lingering and progressive opening, followed by a sudden and abrupt finish. This wine is intriguing and keeps you engaged throughout the tasting experience.
