Les Petits Noizons is known for its south-facing slopes and exceptional terroir, crafted from the village of Pommard at roughly 1,100 feet in elevation. The vineyard’s white marl and limestone soils create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir, contributing structure, minerality, and depth to the wines.
Recognized by Burgundy enthusiasts as one of Pommard’s notable sites, this small block is dry-farmed and cultivated using biodynamic practices, allowing the wine to express the purity and character of its unique location.
Typical of this terroir, wines from Les Petits Noizons are known for their concentration and depth, often showing notes of dark and red fruit, subtle spice, and a mineral-driven core. They are generally full-bodied yet refined, with lively acidity, well-defined tannins, and a long, elegant finish. A classic reflection of Pommard’s power and structure.

Pommard
Immerse yourself in the rich history of Pommard, a wine that held the title of Burgundy's finest, even in the Middle Ages. It was the standard by which all other wines were measured, an emblem of excellence that continues to captivate connoisseurs. Pommard became one of the early trailblazers in obtaining the esteemed AOC designation back in 1936, sealing its reputation as an unparalleled red wine created solely from the venerable Pinot Noir grape. As you journey through the vineyards, you'll discover a fascinating diversity of soils. The lower grounds reveal ancient alluvium, anchoring the roots of the vines. Mid-slope, clay-limestone soils provide excellent drainage, enhanced by scattered rock debris. Ascending further, you'll encounter Jurassic marls, accompanied by brown calcic soils and limestone formations. Our Pommard vineyards benefit from an ideal exposure to the generous rays of the sun, gifting the grapes with unparalleled ripeness and complexity. The altitudes, ranging from 250 to 330 meters, create an idyllic sanctuary for the flourishing vines.
