This wine offers an enticing aroma of vanilla, sugar-coated orange peel, cola, nutmeg, and a touch of smoky earthiness. It exhibits a remarkable density and complexity, with a pronounced mineral character reminiscent of crushed rock. The bold tannins are well-distributed, resulting in a robust and intense wine that showcases a masculine profile. It is a serious wine that pairs exceptionally well with hearty dishes such as roasted meat or lamb, especially when accompanied by a savory mushroom sauce.

Santenay

The wines of Santenay exhibit distinct characteristics stemming from their specific terroirs within the appellation. Established in 1937, the Santenay AOC status underscores the area's viticultural significance. The terroir comprises grayish limestone dominating the higher elevations up to 500 meters, transitioning into oolitic limestones, marls, and other geological formations lower down the slope. This diverse landscape, coupled with an optimal vineyard exposure ranging from east to south, contributes to the quality and complexity of the wines produced in the region. We have been proud owners of Santenay vineyards since 2015, bringing innovation to the rich heritage of the land and wines.
