From the town of Chambolle-Musigny comes the Premier Cru 'Les Feusselottes,' which means “small pit”. The vineyard is located near the centre of the village, where two hillsides meet. The shallow ground is made of Comblanchien limestone and marl from the Combe d’Orveaux. The wines are floral and of great finesse.
The aroma of our 2023 Domaine Evenstad Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Feusselottes is complex, with woody and charred notes (sandalwood, sesame, black tea). On the palate, kirsch cherry blends with saline notes. This wine is elegant, with well-integrated tannins and a beautiful acidity. Its finish and aromatic intensity are great. The finish stretches across citrus notes (blood orange.)

Winemaker Notes
The winter was mild, but the alternation of warm and cool periods slowed the vines’ growth cycle, thus budbreak was expected for late March - early April. As spring frost spared our vines, flowering began toward the end of May. A first heatwave came in early July, followed by a second one between August 10th and 25th, slightly delaying veraison. At the Château de la Crée, harvest started on September 3rd under summer conditions. 2023 marks the second consecutive vintage delivering both above-average yields and quality. The Chardonnay has reached optimal ripeness while preserving a lovely freshness. The Pinot Noir shows great aromatic structure.
About Chambolle-Musigny
Chambolle-Musigny, a village in the Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its limited and highly prized vineyard land. The area is home to two exceptional Grands Crus: Bonnes-Mares, which borders Morey-Saint-Denis, and Musigny, overlooking Clos de Vougeot. Established as an AOC in September 1936, Chambolle-Musigny is one of the earliest French vineyards to receive this designation.
