Trophy Case 2017 Domaine Serene ‘Evenstad Reserve’

Pinot Noir / Willamette Valley

The art of blending has been the hallmark of the Domaine Serene winemaking program and one of the most important steps in crafting wines of distinct and unique character for over 30 years. It is this artistry that has made ‘Evenstad Reserve’ our flagship wine and a benchmark for Oregon Pinot Noir since its first vintage.

An exquisite expression of our multi-faceted terroir, robust and perfectly balanced, the 2017 ‘Evenstad Reserve’ Pinot Noir offers a complete harmonious experience for the senses. A deep ruby hue resulting from a long, gentle extraction entices. The nose reveals bursting aromas of fresh blackberry and cherry compote. On the palate, the wine undulates with a velvety texture and composed tannins, with a crescendo of flavors from exotic spice, forest underbrush, freshly-cut mushrooms and dark fruit. Another truly exquisite offering to enjoy now, but also to cellar for graceful aging.

Trophy Case 2019 Domaine Serene 'Monogram'

Pinot Noir / Dundee Hills

The 2019 Domaine Serene Monogram Pinot Noir is a dominant wine with notes of tobacco, cedar, and sandalwood. Undertones of lavender black tea and a touch of smoke add complexity and distinction. A powerful transition showcases smooth yet strong tannins that frame flavors of fresh bramble and vine-ripe black currant. There is a satisfying grip and ample acidity, providing structure and balance to the wine’s profile, followed by an enduring finish. The 2019 Monogram should earn a notable spot in any authentic collector’s cellar.

Trophy Case 2021 Domaine Serene ‘Aspect’

Chardonnay / Dundee Hills

Situated at a high elevation in the illustrious Dundee Hills, the Aspect Chardonnay is a testament to Domaine Serene's art of the blend. Combining grapes from Triple Crown and Winery Hill, we crafted this unique wine to exemplify the terroir synergy possible from diverse aspects of soil, elevation, orientation, and clonal selection found within one remarkable vineyard estate.

The 2021 Aspect Chardonnay offers a delightful sensory journey, with a range of aromatic notes and flavors that combine harmoniously to create a memorable tasting experience. On the nose, the wine is characterized by prominent notes of flowers, characteristic of the Triple Crown influence and reminiscent of a bouquet. Additional notes of orange cream soda are enhanced by the presence of sweet cream and delicate orange blossom. Upon tasting, the wine delivers a spicy sensation with distinct flavors of kumquat, star fruit, and ginger spice derived from Winery Hill. These exotic combinations deliver a unique and enjoyable experience on the palate and contribute to the wonderfully complex and satisfying finish.

Burgundian Collection 2020 Château de la Crée Santenay Premier Cru

Pinot Noir / Santenay

The southernmost village within the Côte d’Or, Santenay is located just south of Chassagne-Montrachet. East of the village around 900 feet in elevation stands Clos Faubard, a small vineyard of fewer than ten acres with soil that combines Jurassic rock, clay, and limestone. Château de la Crée’s parcel of these 64-year-old vines enjoy a south-southeast exposure, producing wines of substantial power and aging ability. The vineyard is filled with warm thick skinned grapes due to the warm vintage.

The 2020 Château de la Creé Santenay Premier Cru Clos Faubard Pinot Noir is a dark, berry-driven wine with savory notes and a subtle finish. The nose is dominated by fruit characters as opposed to typical earthy Burgundy flavor. The palate is round and voluminous, and is great for cellaring and aging. The finish is round & opulent, elongated, and tannins that carry through to give salinity in the finish. This wine pairs well with a pork dish or a steak.

Burgundian Collection 2020 Château de la Crée Maranges

Chardonnay / Maranges

This wine offers a delightful aromatic profile, with hints of linen, tangerine, and orange. However, on the palate, these citrus notes may not be as pronounced. Instead, there is a minerality that adds depth to the overall experience. The wine has a medium-weight body and a refreshing quality reminiscent of fresh linen. The presence of lees gives it a roundness, while the key lime flavor adds a creamy, citrusy element. The balance between the lees and acidity is well-executed, providing a harmonious taste. Towards the finish, there is a subtle hint of tea tree, followed by a satisfying saltiness. This wine would pair exceptionally well with dishes like ham madame or croquette moisieur.
