July 23, 2026 / Acclaim 'Evenstad Reserve' Named One of the Best Chardonnays of 2026

We are honored to share that the 2023 Domaine Serene ‘Evenstad Reserve’ Chardonnay has been named one of The 30 Best Chardonnays for 2026 by  VinePair, earning an exceptional 97 point rating.

The recognition is especially meaningful given the depth and independence of VinePair’s review process. Each year, the publication’s tasting and editorial team evaluates thousands of wines and spirits to identify bottles that distinguish themselves through exceptional quality and value. Producers do not pay to submit wines for consideration, and submission does not guarantee placement. Each Chardonnay was evaluated for its aromas, flavors, structure, balance, regional character, price, and availability before VinePair’s editors selected the final 30 wines.

Chosen from a broad tasting of Chardonnay produced across the United States and Burgundy, the 2023 ‘Evenstad Reserve’ earned its place alongside celebrated expressions from some of the world’s most respected Chardonnay regions. Its inclusion reinforces the growing stature of Oregon Chardonnay and Domaine Serene’s longstanding pursuit of world-class winemaking in the Dundee Hills.

VinePair’s Keith Beavers shared:

“Domaine Serene’s Evenstad Reserve bottling is made by selecting and blending the best barrels produced from the winery’s estate vineyard in the Dundee Hills. This vintage offers an elegant nose with aromas of salted butter, juicy peaches, and lemon curd. The wine is aged for 13 months in (27 percent new) French oak, adding just a hint of vanilla and a subtle, creamy texture.”

At Domaine Serene, our Oregon Chardonnay program is founded upon three defining pillars: high-elevation vineyards, Jory soils, and Dijon clones. Together, these elements contribute the natural acidity, mineral character, aromatic complexity, and refined structure that distinguish Chardonnay grown in the Dundee Hills.

The 'Art of the Blend' has also been a hallmark of Domaine Serene for more than three decades. Our winemaking team carefully selects and blends the finest barrels from our estate vineyards to create a Chardonnay that brings together vibrant Willamette Valley acidity, expressive fruit, refined texture, and exceptional balance.

This latest recognition from VinePair celebrates the distinctive character of the 2023 vintage and affirms our enduring commitment to crafting Oregon Chardonnay at the highest level.
