Wine Enthusiast - November 2026 Buyer's Guide
Unbiased Process
The Wine Enthusiast is world’s most trusted source for wine lifestyle recommendations: from acclaimed wine ratings and reads to wine storage, glasses and more. As they rank and select holiday wine recommendations, all products are blind-tasted in peer-group flights of 5–8 samples. Reviewers may know general information about a flight to provide context— vintage, variety, or appellation— but never the producer or retail price of any given selection. Using this unbiased approach, Wine Enthusiast has ranked Domaine Serene wines as top wines for holiday gifting.
Holiday Wine Recommendations
2023 Domaine Serene 'Aspect' Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills, Oregon - rated 96 points and Editor's Choice
"Aspect’s blackcherry aroma is encircled by woodsy and spicy notes of pinebark tea, clove, and mace. The flavors are more subtle, with red cherries and wild strawberries going the Jitterbug with wee bits of ginger and black tea. This is a beauti fully balanced wine where gentle acidity unites with silky tannins. The result is a texture that is smooth and pleasing. I would love to see how Aspect pairs with roasted pork swimming in a spicy chocolate mole sauce. Editor’s Choice. —M.A."
Wine Enthusiast defines Editor's Choice as products that offer excellent quality at a price above our Best Buy range, or a product at any price with unique qualities that merit special attention.
2022 Domaine Serene Abbey Oaks Vineyard Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton, Oregon - rated 94 points and Cellar Selection
"Abbey Oaks, with its restrained alcohol, silky acidity, and velvety tannins, feels like it’s gracefully pirouetting on your palate. The wine’s Bing cherry and vanillabean aromas are complemented by wisps of smoky, earthy raspberry tea and anise. Closing the show in fine fashion are fla vors of blackcap raspberry, espresso, cacao nibs, and a nicely bitter note similar to a rhubarb tart. Cellar Selection. —M.A. "
Wine Enthusiast defines Cellar Selection as Are products deemed highly collectible and/or requiring time in a temperature-controlled wine cellar to reach their maximum potential.
