2021 Domaine Serene Abbey Oaks Vineyard

Our 2021 Abbey Oaks Vineyard Pinot Noir reveals intriguing notes of graphite, fennel and dark fruit with sweet floral hints, and a touch of white pepper, all complemented by cranberry tannins. On the palate, the wine showcases dark fresh fruit flavors, including blueberry, and blackberry, elegantly structured tannins and a balanced acidity. The finish is wonderfully structured, reminiscent of clay-based Burgundian vineyards.

    • Year Planted: 2012
    • Varietals: Pinot Noir
    • AVA: Yamhill-Carlton
    • Elevation: 220-320 ft
    • Total Acreage: 40
    • Planted Acreage: 28
    • Soil Types: Sedimentary Willakenzie

Our lone vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA has Willakenzie soils and well-exposed, south facing slopes. The wide array of clones sprinkled throughout the acreage creates deeply concentrated wines that showcase the mineral undertones of the sedimentary soil. Due to the angle of the slopes, this is one of our main warmer, early-ripening sites.
