The Côte Sud Vineyard is located on the south-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate and ranges from 510 to 790 feet in elevation. This nearly six-acre Chardonnay vineyard is comprised of Jory soil and is our only site planted to both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals.

Our Côte Sud Vineyard is Domaine Serene's oldest Chardonnay planted. This vintage is deep and concentrated, with real substance in the nose alone. The full body is experienced in the palate with a weightiness similar to a Pinot Noir. Hay and earthy flavors give way to a long finish of citrus. This texturally driven wine pairs well with heavier dishes like cedar plank salmon, mushroom risotto, and creamy pasta.

"The 2021 Cote Sud Vineyard Chardonnay comes from old vine Dijon clones planted in 1986 and showcases a light shimmering lemon core with a watery rim in the glass. Notes of wet clay minerals, lemon blossoms, white flowers, and cinnamon spice are opulently presented. Racy acidity meets white peach, blanched almonds with a bitter, herbaceous note on the finish. Concentrated with a rich backbone, it’s round on the palate with a lengthy finish. Only 191 cases were made. Highly recommended and editor’s choice. "
