The 2021 Domaine Serene 'Monogram' Pinot Noir represents one of our most anticipated releases and one of the most coveted wines in the Domaine Serene portfolio. Crafted from a careful selection of our finest barrels, 'Monogram' is created to showcase depth, structure, and lasting presence.

Our 2021 Monogram Pinot Noir displays a deep ruby-red color in the glass and boasts sophisticated aromas of berry compote, lavender, mint, sweet tobacco smoke, and anise. The palate is highly concentrated with black currant, licorice, and allspice, supported by an opulent texture and firm tannins on a long, savory finish. This pinnacle selection is best paired with roasted venison loin with a juniper berry sauce, or prime dry-aged côte de boeuf.

"As was the case with the 2018 and ’19 bottlings, the 2021 Domaine Serene ‘Monogram’ is once again the finest Oregon Pinot Noir that I have tasted all year. It is a velvety, refined Pinot Noir that saw extended barrel and bottle age. The oak influence here is so wonderful in terms of caressing the fruit and non-fruit flavors. Mainly black-fruit driven, with lighter red fruit nuances, with more air this shows glorious black truffle shavings, with hints of Cuban cigar, allspice and clove dusted black licorice and faint peat moss character, with loads of rocky soil nuance. Full-throttle and intense, yet maintaining gobs of nerve and stony minerality, this will easily age for another twenty plus years — but is completely irresistible in its heady youth now at the five year mark. Give this total heavyhitter an hour in the decanter and watch it evolve. You are going to be blown away with this wine. Drink 2027-2055- 99"

"A super-luxurious, dark and deep wine with a relaxed mouthfeel, saturated in ripe fruit and mellow oak spices. It’s difficult to top this wine in a full-bodied, posh and super-ripe style. So rich in blackberry, dark cherry, clove, cinnamon and subtle charred oak flavors. It is deep on the palate, lingering on the finish and undeniably delicious. Drink now or hold."

About ‘Monogram’

Fulfilling the vision of Domaine Serene's late co-founder Ken Evenstad, ‘Monogram’ embodies a robust and more structured style of Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Made in extremely small volumes, ‘Monogram’ is thoughtfully blended from our finest barrels, hand-selected from our cellars, and carefully aged until it is perfectly developed.
