2023 Domaine Serene Jerusalem Hill Vineyard
Our 2023 Jerusalem Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is ruby-red in color and leads with a nose of wild blackberries and blueberries. An undertone of depth showcases aromas leather, anise, cola, and fresh fir-tips. On the palate, structured tannins support flavors of blackberry and sage before concluding with a long, structured finish driven by bright acidity. This age-worthy bottling pairs beautifully with rosemary and herb-crusted roasted rack of lamb, or a rich wild mushroom risotto.

Winemaker Notes
If you're out wandering this vineyard, keep an eye out for the graceful presence of a wild blue heron gracing our property. Back in the day, our vineyard used to be an orchard, and plenty of birds still call it home. This magnificent creature has established its home here for countless years and keeps a watchful eye on our cherished vineyards. Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is known for its significant wind exposure that showcases the impacts of vintage variations. In sunnier years, the wines from this vineyard lean towards a fruit-centric profile, offering vibrant and luscious flavors. On the other hand, cooler vintages tend to bring out more forest-like, savory, spicy, and leather notes in the wines.
About Jerusalem Hill Vineyard
Located 16 miles south of the Dundee Hills, Jerusalem Hill Vineyard hails from the Eola-Amity winegrowing region. This unique vineyard is rooted in rich Woodburn sedimentary soils deposited into the valley during the Missoula Floods some 13,000 to 15,000 years ago.
This vineyard site is positioned at our lowest elevation and is known for its wind exposure, making it our most-vintage-affected wine. Because of the unique aspect and terroir, the Jerusalem Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful surprise each year upon release. In cooler years, the Jerusalem Hill Vineyard tends to exhibit a forest-like character with savory and spicy notes, while in warmer years, this Pinot Noir reflects spring’s vibrant fruit and lively characteristics.
