2016 Domaine Serene Clos du Soleil Vineyard

The Clos du Soleil vineyard is located on the east-facing slope of the Evenstad Estate and is the only vineyard on the estate with an east-west row orientation. This Chardonnay vineyard is planted exclusively to Dijon clone 76, which accounts for its great density and persistence of flavor. Bright and expressive aromas of cantaloupe, melon, and perfume emit from the glass. Clean and complex, the palate is broad, round and balanced showing generous flavors of Asian pear, honeydew, and citrus. The acidity and weight are seamlessly integrated leading to a long, refined, mineral-driven finish. This Chardonnay is, as its name suggests, sunshine in a glass.
