2010 Domaine Serene Gold Eagle Vineyard

Gold Eagle is located on the east facing slope of the Evenstad Estate next to the Grace vineyard. This vibrant and finesse driven wine shows youthful acidity and structure on the palate and boasts spicy, red-fruit and floral aromas. Gold Eagle is our only vineyard planted with north, south, east and west row orientation. The vineyard is planted exclusively to Pommard and Dijon clones.

The 2010 Willamette Valley vintage was exceptional, producing wines with lush, ripe fruit, high acidity, and often with a pure expression of fruit character. It is considered one of the best years for Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, rivaling other great vintages. The growing season had a cool spring and summer, but a warm autumn allowed for a successful harvest with low yields and long hang times, leading to great balance and complexity.
